After 2-3 years of patience, we now have oysters growing on our reef! We were out working on the reef yesterday at low tide. See the attached pictures. This is the oldest part of the reef. After one year, it was covered with barnacles without any noticeable oysters. The following year there were a few oysters but this year, it's packed!
